Laptop or Pc for MechEng
Hopefully going to uni this september (applying now) to do engineering. I was wondering if I really needed the portabiity of a laptop or whether a pc would be better for all the prograns that need running (and a bit of gaming). If I go the pc route I'd build it myself so it would be cheaper and better than a similarly priced laptop. Thoughts?
A laptop is nice when you have to meet for group projects and you're all working on parts of the report or a presentation; it's also good for when you have to use it in the lab (for collecting data for example), but there are so many computers everywhere you could easily get through a whole degree without one. You could just build a sick desktop instead
