Same here, i was getting 90% and aboves in past exam papers and then came to this. I think I got about 75% this time round.

I think we all need dan to give us a clue, overall a fair paper

Didn't find it too bad. Thought the hardest part was 7b trying to prove another collision but think I sort of got there in the end.

Centre of mass = 19/15a
m=7/45M
R=877N
u=7
0<e<1/2
1/3(1+e)u and 1/3(1-2e)u
a=0.59
v=9.33

this was a harder paper than i expected. i was so hoping for a ladder question and not strings and tension. so i mucked that whole question up, also i thought the projectile question finding tan x was hard, but since worked it out. i wish i had more time in the exam cos i found the questions very time consuming and paniced when time was short and couldnt think straight near the end. probably got a low C and really wanted a B!

Thought it was pretty straight forward.

The only question I struggled on was the projectile one finding u but other than that a bit boring but it was fine.

Yes it's harder. But it really just depends the difficulty of the questions you get.

Some m1 questions can be harder than m2 but like i said it just depends on the sort of quetions you get in the exam

I thought it was a good paper, plently of time, I reckoned the worst I could get would be about 80%, found question 7 a bit tricky, also would have preferred a ladder question to a beam and string one.

personnally, i thought it was preety easy.. nothing too challenging...... only a couple of hardish questions such as 3 b] and 7c]... but i did them ok i think

i didnt find it to hard, there were quite a few tricky questions but i finished in the time. I could have done all parts if i had revised properly!

Looking at the answers everyones getting it makes me worry about the paper. How come the answers vary so much between each other??

if we all got the same answers we would all get the same grades and there would be no point in anyone taking the exam!!

Consensus from the people I've spoken to at my school is that it was a hard paper. Not in the league of P3, but tricky none the less.

I cunningly opted for S2 instead... ;o)

e < 0.5
c) christ, where did it end. Got it i think.

Stevie Butler and Jimmy Ng helped me in this posting. They did it on their laptops.

can anyone show how they did question 7, the one with the colliding particles. muffed that one hard :/,

and also 6 d) where the power = 200w
