Discoloration

Hi, my penis has some discolored skin, in small patches. I am white, and the skin is a brownish colour. Does anybody else have this, and also, would it put any girls off?

Thanks.

No, just small discolorations of skin.

Sounds a bit like what I have but the opposite (vitiligo) where I have white patches because my skin pigment has died, only I don't have a penis and it's in random patches all over my body.

Don't worry about it, as long as it doesn't look like it's diseased then it shouldn't put anyone off! You could go to the doctor to see if they can actually tell you what it is as then you'll be able to explain that it's harmless if anyone asks!
Nah. I wouldnt...unless its some skin disease.

Lets see a picture.

I want to go to the doctor, but I have already been twice for other issues related to my penis (but these were just things that I was curious about as a growing lad :p:) and I will feel silly. The doctor commented last time, that I only ever go there for things related to that; never because I am ill. However, before, my foreskin haden't fully come retracted, so it was not exposed for the doctor to comment on it. :frown:

I think an image would be inappropriate and also I would be uncomfortable with it, sorry.

Do you know if that condition spreads, or becomes more prominent as time goes on?

About the people asking for pictures -ignore them, not only is it inappropriate, it would also get the thread closed and that's even more unhelpful.

Yes I think Vitiligo can spread, I started off with a tiny patch when I was about 15 and when I was 16/17 it spread like mad but now I'm 20 it seems to have slowed down and I haven't found any new patches for a while.
I think it can be related to stress and stuff and I actually had a patch on my face but then it disappeered  .
You can get steroid cream from the doctors to rub on it to try and reactivate the pigment but I gave up on that because the first time I tried it it nearly burnt my skin off (I have sensitive skin). And since then I read the steriods can make it come back even worse anyway.

If your discoloration was white I would be pretty certain that it was vitiligo as it's common for it to affect the genital area but as it's brown I'm a little unsure but it could be something related, try googling it? And don't be worried about your doctor thinking anything of you just because you keep going for similiar things, you could see a different one if your surgery has more than one doctor? It's best to put your own mind at rest and it's not like you haven't got a reason to go (there is clearly something unusual about your skin and you want to know what it is) nothing wrong with that.

It sounds simple when you say it like that. But it doesn't feel that straight forward. :frown: I haven't been able to find anything on google unfortunately.
