Simplifying fraction help please!

(x+2)(2x+1)\frac{(x+2)}{(2x+1)} + 3x21\frac{3}{x^2-1}

I'm trying to find a common denominator but I have no clue of what is is or how to find it! could someone please help? thanks!

Since your denominators have no common factor you will simple need to multiply them

Times the first fraction by (x^2-1) and the second by (2x+1) both on the numberator and denominator, then simplify.
