For a level I want to chose chemistry biology psychology and either geography or history. I have chosen history for Gcse, but I want to get into pharmacy or medicine sooo which one be more appropriate since geography has something to do with biology. I have not done geography gcse but am keen to catch up.

can I please have an explanation to which one looks better if I want to get into pharmacy or medicine.

I do both Geography and History, and Geography is SO much more awesome. First off, it's **** easy, yet seen as a facilitating subject - thus the same desirability as History. And, as aforementioned, it's incredibly well looked upon. Why put yourself through unnecessary graft (history)?

Geography by the way is very interesting. Sure so too is History, but geography is the better option.

Mathematics. Statistics would be far more complimentary to a career in pharmacy or medicine.

I am not willing to put myself through a level maths, GCSE is traumatising enough

Geography if you want an easy A*
Geography is not an easy A* whatsoever

It's no Maths A-Level but it's definitely not Citizenship Studies either.

Geography, because volcanoes are so much better than Henry VIII.

I'm doing Chemistry, Biology, Maths and History and I'm also hoping to do Pharmacy! I don't know much about Geography but personally I think History complements science quite well - it requires a good attention to detail, weighing up arguments and analysing information.

Both History and Geography are very respected A levels so I don't think either would look better than the other. Did you enjoy History at GCSE? Don't just pick a subject because you think it might be useful! It's pretty important to actually like your subjects otherwise you'll dread going to class!

I honestly don't think it matters all that much. Personally I would choose history but I've heard lots about the workload being pretty huge. Like Protagoras said, for pharmacy or medicine - you really should consider maths.

Neither Geography nor History have any relevance to pharmacy/medicine so choose whichever one you enjoy most. I'd personally go for History because I think it's much more interesting, plus you'd already be familiar with how it works since you'd have a GCSE in it.

You shouldn't be taking an A-Level just because it's easy. You should take it because it's interesting.

Indeed. Maybe even Physics would be even more desirable over the other subjects.

You don't need maths for medicine, unis require good grades at GCSE maths but no uni will need maths, personally I prefer history but if you don't enjoy it don't pick it :-)
