Dreams

I've hardly ever seen any threads about dreams so I thought I would start one-- does anyone have problems with dreams? Bad dreams, nightmares?
I personally have very vivid dreams, some of which I remember for years afterwards.
Over the past few weeks I've had dreams with a recurring theme...never exactly the same, but along the same lines- and that is bombs. I have a small fear of planes flying overhead, and ever since I learnt about World War 2 in junior school I was scared of bombs...but I didn't think it was bad enough for me to have lots of dreams.
Last night, and previously I've had very scary dreams about being in my house while bomber planes fly overhead and drop bombs on and around my house. I always wake up feeling panicked and scared

Who here also has vivid and/or scary dreams? Has it ever affected you so badly that you don't want to sleep or have paranoia the next day?

Love to hear your input!

I've been having a lot of nightmares lately where I've been having my teeth knocked out in various ways, and I can almost feel it.

It hasn't been very enjoyable.

I had a dream last night where this woman was giving birth to loads of babies in the sea and i was trying to save them all from drowning but could obviously only save two so the rest died, then I swam to a boat to put the babies in and I hit one of them on the head and gave it brain damage by accident and the people running the boat turned out to be MI5. Then it skipped to this sort of Acropolis-like place but with beautiful gardens and flowers everywhere and I was trying to climb up a pillar so I could jump of and kill myself but no one could know about it so I was pretending to be up there taking a picture of the view with my phone... very odd.

Mr.God, oooh teeth...that's nasty. I've had that before too. I think that's quite a common one.

And TKR...I hate to think what goes on in your mind...what a strange dream :P

And thanks for the link Jacksonxvi, looks really interesting!

I always have dreams about zombies. I hate zombies  Too much watching my brother play resident evil when I was younger.

I also always have dreams about my mother trying to kill me in various ways. But I'm not particularly surprised about that one either.

I used to have quite a lot of dreams about vampires. Like, my whole town being taken over by vampires and everybody I know being turned into vampires and me always being on the run and trying to escape them.

Ooh yeah I've had the deja vu thing too. I once had a dream about a house and then YEARS later I met my now best friend and went to the house for the first time and it was the house from my dream. I was so shocked!

I had a very weird dream the other day. I dreamt I murdered someone and cut their body into cubes of meat. And all the clothes into squares.
OMG! Haha :P I'm staying out of your way just in case you decide to make that dream reality...

That's exactly what my zombie dreams are like!! :frown:
Zombie and vampire dreams sound scary :frown: I'm counting myself lucky now cos I don't think I've ever had a dream like that!

I had a dream about 1 year ago about this room and i was talking to a certain person talking about deju vu and there were a bunch of other boys there doing something. It felt almost like a lucid dream but wasnt it was just really vivid.

Anyway, last week when i returned back to 6th form and was sitting in the common room and the boys were playing this game and i was talking to the specific person that was in that dream, and it just hit me the room the EXACT same people from the viewpoint i was sitting and i was tlaking to this person about deju vu, it was the creepiest thing i ever felt when i realized.
That does sound scary! It's such a weird thing :s-smilie: I wonder why dreams like that happen?

I go through phases where I have VERY vivid dreams and I can remember every detail as if it really happened - they are usually in colour too.

Then I go through phases when I can remember dreaming but can't recall the details.

Then I go through phases where I can't remember dreaming at all.

Edit: I always have those deja vu feelings - they are horrible - you think this has happened before, and then the next thing that you do has also happened - I definitely think that that is because you have dreamt it before.

I also used to have recurring dreams when I was younger - always nightmares - usually featuring volcanoes - used to freak me out.
Yeah mine are always in colour too. Does anyone here dream in black and white? I didn't even realise people did dream in black and white until recently.
Hmm that would make an interesting poll..

I dream in both I think - because I can't always remember them being in colour.

I dream in colour but sometimes the colour fades but it is never in black and white.

I used to have them, i always used to dream about the sun crashing towards earth, actually i can remember some

One was where there was a market in the middle east and there was a blue peter presenter and the sun came down, another was at night and the moon fell from the sky and smashed through the window and fell behind the armchair in my living room haha
I used to have the most awful dreams, they weren't recurring but in them I'd either be under water or have something crushing my chest, in my sleep I'd stop breathinh and eventually wake up gasping for breath and with a ***** off head ache. I'm glad theyve finished. I also had a really wierd dream that i was in bed with my bf, just like we were in the non dream world, and I woke up and he was masturbating. when I woke up I couldn't remember if it was a dream or not and was really p*ssed off with him!
