Hi I'm struggling with knowing what the AQA AS exam involves. I did AS at a different college and it used the WJEC board, but my new college used AQA and it's very different. (I want to resist the second exam basically).

Ive got books from the library and it says it is split up into unit 1 and 2 but doesn't say which is which. I think it's the 2 I want to resit becuase it was PY2 on the WJEC board.

Thank for any help!

Oh right, I went to my college library and they gave me books that say B. I don't know how anyone decides A or B. I don't really know what to do My teacher isn't always the most helpful.

So it's psychology B AQA PY2 I'm looking for I think.

Everything you need for your course is here.

How the course is split up

http://www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/psych...ec-at-a-glance

What you need to know
(Remember Unit 1 and 2 is AS)

http://www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/psych...content/unit-1

Download the syllabus. Its vital you do if you don't understand what you need to know. It outlines perfectly everything you need to know and what will come up in each topic area.

Past papers

http://www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/psych...d-mark-schemes

Looking at past papers will help you understand what type of questions come up normally. For example, I studied a topic 'Psychology of religion' for my Philosophy of Religion exam for AS Religious Studies. Jung or Freud either come up. You can even spot patterns sometimes but that obviously carries risks.

Hope I've helped. Good luck!

You're doing approaches, gender developement and research methods for your unit 1 exam and your unit 2 exam it's social psychology, cognitive psychology and individual differences. There are sub categories in each but those 6 topics are split for each exam.
