Guitar sheet music

Okay guys, I've been asked to accompany my school orchestra with some simple guitar chords. The only issue is that I've never played guitar sheet music at all. There's the normal staff you get with other instruments, with triad chords on them, then there's the chord name above it. Do i just play the chords as a triad like it says, or play the full chord?
