I'm half-Christian, half-Muslim, but...

My mother is a christian and my father is a muslim, but neither care too much about their religions and my parents have often seen a history of discrimination by their respective relatives due to the marriage itself.

I'm also not very much concerned about religion (at least, not in the social-political sense), but my cousins had often been allowed to play with me... I'm not in touch with them since years.

Now... tbh I'm REALLY fed up with this feud, I'd like to play a joke on both sides of relatives so that they wake up and stfu with all their nonsense.

Any suggestions what I could do?

Become a satanist so that they focus their attention on me and forget their BS?

Just wondering, how can you be half Christian and half Muslim?
Don't some of the views counteract with each others? Maybe I'm wrong, I only know about Christianity, but I'm guessing some might conflict?

Or are you just not religious at all, and you are simply referring to being half half because both your parents are different religions?

Don't become a satanist and do what not, it won't work.

I suggest you just leave it. Whenever someone makes a joke, just walk away or say straight out "I don't want to hear it". They will eventually realise how childish they are being.

Well, I know that there are many contraddictions....
basically I'm 50-50 in a technical sense.

I mean: if my mother was English and my father German, I would still be referred to as an "Anglo-German" even I lived in France and behaved like a french, right?

Nah, they don't realize that it's childish because they're already in their 80s. lol I already tried that!

after seconds of consideration, i think i have come up with the answer!

Create a new religon, which has both muslim and christian belifs, and get your parents to join it.

You could call it Christlim

Being half-half a religion is complete rubbish. You're either Muslim, Christian or neither. The onus is upon you to choose.

Here's a simple question: Do you consider yourself to be a thiest i.e. do you believe in God?

though I must admit that my atheist friends don't behave much differently from my parents' families, except for not having invented all those mythologic stories with gods and stuff, hehe.
