How come they got back to you so quick? I had my interview on friday and was also told they get back within 72 hours but not over weekend and they havent got back to me and its monday evening now. Also did they ring you on private number or with this number 01793690360. Can you please reply ASAP as im stressing over this job. My assesment was also at oxford street and same things were asked.

Hey, I actually thought i didn't get the job either as I was told it was 72 hours also. But then I got a call a week after saying I got the job! So don't worry, I think you should wait a while longer

Did they ask anything else in the one to one interview, also where is the interview held is in the Oxford Street House of Fraser store at the back? Does your invention have to be detailed or just explained briefly and what type of questions do you get asked afterwards?

Thanks

No, not very detailed. In fact some people forgot or didn't know they had to prepare for the interview so they were given about 20 mins to come up with something. It's very casual so don't worry. They laugh and joke around with you, well they did in my one anyway, was very friendly. Loved it!

Hi, did anyone get a call saying they got the job and then asked to go to the induction? If so, did you get an email detailing when and what time you had to go?

When I got the call the guy only told me to wear black, bring some ID and turn up at 9 on the 25th so I was kind of unprepared for ages. Then this past weekend I got some official paperwork in the post, it was stuff about hours, contract length, pay and some forms on references and tax. I also got a link emailed to me from them which took you to their website for new employees. You have to log in and do the online crash course and answer some simple questions. Don't worry, I was pretty panicked but you'll get the information soon!

The one to one was very simple in all honesty, I don't know if it was just mine but the lady asked me what experience I had and how that, along with any school or extra curricular activities, would help me in a job at HoF relating it to the sorts of skills or responsibilities I'd had before. It was very relaxed and literally only about 7 mins in length.
In terms of where it was held, we had to go up quite a few floors but we were escorted there. We were told to wait near the lifts close to the beauty section, it was near a nails concession stand. If you can't see anyone else just ask, they wait for everyone to arrive before going up.
The explanations of the inventions were relatively short and no one went into huge detail. Just explain the basic features, if there's a price mention that, possibly the inspiration if it's something interesting or relatable, colours/designs etc. If they want to know more they ask at the end and even those questions are very informal and causal and generally about things which are obvious yet you've forgotten to mention, really simple stuff that you'll be able to answer on your feet.

great help thankyouuu.

This makes me feel a bit better, I had an interview on Wednesday and they haven't got back to me yet, I'm not counting Sunday as a working day so it's only been 72 hours, keeping my fingers crossed.
I had the interview structure as is on the email but our presentations were individual and just in front of one member of the recruitment staff who then went straight into the interview when we finished but that was pretty basic.

Yeah don't worry about it if you think your interview/assessment went well they will deffo call you back maybe even later than a week. I may warn you though they are recruiting for xmas temps, they will tell you know that on the phone (even though you may have applied for a normal position like I did and the majority of us) kind of tricky of them to do that i would say!

Thanks, I thought it went well but always feel like I'm jinxing it when I say that lol, I'm not worried about the Christmas temp thing as they asked us about this at the interview and I said I was okay with permanent and temporary, and they keep some temps on anyway.
Just happy that someone else out there said they had been told 72 hours and waited longer, starting to think it was just me!
