Im 5ft 11, which is a pretty useful height for reaching high places and not getting crushed at gigs ive found...

Rootes is for people trying to be hardcore living on the poverty line dispite the fact they obviously got the grades to go to Warwick and have also evidently got the funding to attend...somehow.

I lived in AV in my first year. Though i was often over in Rootes since i had close friends there. Rootes was considerably more of a party house. The resident tutors in AV were very strict. Those in Rootes hardly heard from theirs. I dont recall any water fights in AV, though i narrowly avoided getting soaked once upon entering Rootes... lol. They were allowed to trash their kitchens too, while if we did the same in AV the cleaners would go psycho. IMO, Rootes is, in general, more lively, has more of a party-atmosphere, you'll meet more people, and probably have more fun. I still thoroughly enjoyed living in AV and dont regret choosing it, and i think i was lucky with the people in my kitchen, they were a great, lively bunch and i'm living with many of them next year.
But i just thought i'd big Rootes up for the many of you going there. All the more reason for you to get excited about it.
yeh ppl call me short and im 5'6 (tho i lie and say i'm 5'7) so i must b a pretty average height here

Yes, finally somebody with some sense.
I wish people would stop generalising about it all. I don't really want to be labelled by accomodation that I got put in by someone who doesn't have a clue about me. Coming across all bitter here and I don't mean to sound like that. I chose AV but ended up in Rootes. I would probably fit in more with AV by all the generalising going on in here but who cares..
And as for being short..well I am quite tall but I wish I were taller
