Subjects I'm applying for differ slightly...
My first choice is Scandinavian Studies/Icelandic at UCL....obviously really niche and a top university so I really want to get in...
And then my other choices are,
Viking Studies - Nottingham
Celtic and Anglo Saxon Studies - Aberdeen
Celtic Studies - Aberystwyth
Obviously I want to tailor my PS to be Scandinavian focused...but I could do with mentioning Celtic backgrounds as well to cover my back ups...any advice in general? All tips are welcome

Ucl should understand given the reasons you describe and check the course content - there may be a lot of history and therefore more overlap than you think. Focus on those parts
