You may be leaving soap under your arms when you wash them, make sure you wash all soap off!

i was about to suggest over shaving of the armpit, but it's obviously not that if you're male... unless you do shave in which case, that could be it?

does it itch or anything?

Do you shave? That might leave a rash. Could be a fungal thing like wringworm. Just use canestan or daktarin if it is.

No i dont shave underarm, it itches really badly. It covers my whole underarm - it looks a little like a burn. And whats wringworm - and daktarin and canestan.
Thanks for all your advice

Sounds like what my dad had and that was caused by soap.

it could be that then, thanks a lot.
Heat rash/ eczema/ allergic reaction - you decide  Good luck with everything.
(I had that aswell by the way and it's because the deodrant I was using had alcohol in it...you may want to try it without because you have sensitive skin perhaps?) xxx

does it burn? Sounds like sweat rash, caused by yeast infection. Make sure you keep the area clean and dry and wash all things which have been in contact with it, apply an anti-fungal cream, canastan will work like someone said above.........or you could just go to the doctor!

I thought canestan was one of those things that you apply to your youknowwhat if your a lady. I think i might apply that anti-fungal cream like a lot of you are saying. Sounds yucky though! :puke:

Canestan is an antifungal cream. Women use the 2% for thrush but you would just need the 1%. You'll probably have to ask for it at the counter. Boots sell it and it costs about £5 for a small one i think.

It might be an idea to have a word with a pharmacist when you go to boots just to make sure it is a fungal infection. If you're going to do this though i'd advise you go either quite early or quite late cos the pharmasist will probably be really busy midday doing prescriptions.

Yes it opens at 8.30 and closes at 5.30. Well where i live it does anyway and i'm sure it's the same everywhere.

I had an underarm rash and didn't think it was deodorant because I always used the same one. Turned out they'd changed the contents and it was an allergic reaction. I asked in chemist for diagnosis. Do you have the rash under both arms?
