I went to Amsterdam in August and my friends and I did walk through the Red Light District but I'd never be tempted to even think about shagging one of the women displaying themselves. The women also seemed to be really quite fake (I know, I shouldn't need to say this) but that is also a huge turn off. So no, I'd not be tempted at all to visit one of the women. Walking up and down the district was entertaining though.

Doesn't always work like that though. It's one thing to go out early in the evening straight to the red light district and pay for a hooker, it's quite another to have been out on the lash, having a brilliant laugh with your close mates and largely ignoring women, and finding yourself tempted while you're walking back to the hotel and it's too late to find yourself a woman legitimately.
I would never head down to the red light district with the intention of paying for a hooker instead of making the effort to go out and pull, all I'm saying is that if I was out with my mates and we'd been on the piss, chances are I could be tempted on the walk home if it were too late for any alternative.
