Does this change anything?

Tonight I have done something I had sworn to myself that I would never do. It's actually a minor thing but I told my childhood/ high school crush of about 3- 4 years ( I know!) that I had a crush on him. Obviously I hadnt just said it straight away....nor had I intended to say this. We were having our usual friendly chat on MSN messenger when somehow the conversation came to the point where he said that he thought that I did not like him at all in High School. I said that it was the opposite and that I actually liked him very much. I don't have feelings for him now...at least I don't think I do:confused: . But understandably, he was quite shocked at this...though its hard to tell whether it was in a good or bad way....

Now I am just wondering if this would change anything between us...I'm not saying that I want to get with him...just that if it would make things awkward or whether in my initiating conversation with him, he will think I have an ulterior motive for doing so i.e. I still have feelings for him. I am very confused - I think this may have opened a can of worms as it took me quite a long time to get over liking him. He doesn't help the situation by being considerate, calm and funny though:rolleyes: LOL

I liked a guy in my 6th form for 2 years, after the first year I anonymously chatted to him in a chatroom and he stopped going on so I put a note in his locker to go on there. He did and found out it was me and said he really liked me, but unfortunately he had a girlfriend outside of 6th form :frown: and said he didn't cheat .

He split with his gf was single for about a month, I was going to ask him out then he got into a relationship with a girl that lasted 3 years! We got to know each but I left him alone as his gf was a bunny boiler. I left 6th form and soon forgot about him.

3 years later out of the blue he added me to his msn contacts. I told him about my crush and he was shocked, he only remembered as I had kept his emails which he thought was really sweet. We met up but I had lost my feelings for him and he was really interested in me (and still is) he said he would marry me

Funny how things turn out. So I think the best thing would be to leave the ball in his court, if he's interested he will let you know.

I was about 13 -14 when I liked him and am now 20! But I had to put these feelings to the back of my mind since he had a LONG term girlfriend at the time and you know how silly High School can be....

Feels a bit of a relief to have told him now....Better late than never?
