Attractive Waist Size for a Guy

I was wondering what you all thought an attractive waist size would be on a guy who is 6ft 1".

I am currently a 35"-36" and it looks like I have a bit of a belly, not a huge amount but it is noticable.

I have been dieting and exercising this summer and am trying to get down to a 32/33, but someone said that would make me look scrawny. I disagree but would like to hear your opinions on the issue.

What is the ideal waist size on a 6ft 1 guy in your opinion?

depends on you build but i recon a 32-34 would be fine mate.

A 32/33 is fine, it depends what sort of body shape you're going for. A lot of guys like to go for the V shape, i.e. wide back and shoulders but a slim waist.

Personally I think that looks kind of silly, and I figure if you're trying to widen out your back and your shoulders that you should try and widen out your waist as well, so you don't look like you've been pinched in half at the middle.

my fiance is a 32/34 and he's 6 foot. He looks great. I'd say that that's the ideal.

im about 5 10 and a 28 inch waist.
i've actually noticed needing to go from 3 to 4 notches on my belt for my bigger pairs of trousers.

so yeh, im pretty skinny.

i'm 6ft and have a 31 inch waist. Looks normal enough to me. 36 just sounds like a porker size :wink:

I'm a 32" waist and I'm 6' 2"/3", but a 42/44" chest, never been called scrawny.. :p:

i reckon 32-34 would be ideal.

i like a man to be about 5,9 and 34/36 but i would not mind them being 38. Scrawny is a total NO NO

Depends on your height but over 36" is pushing it.

I'm 5'7''ish and 30" which is about right in proportion.

nah.i'd say over 34".
i know some people on 34" and they arent chubby in the slightest.
it depends on the size of your frame as well as body fat of course

My ex was 6'1, had a 34 inch waist and was pretty skinny. It's not to do with only your waist measurement, it also depends on your general build. Rather than aiming for a certain measurement why don't you just diet until you are happy with the way you look and then stop?

i dont think it's about being "judged" as a bad/evil person... it's more about someone being sexually attracted to you, which will be impacted by how fat you are, and which is not something they can consciously control

just because someone doesnt find you attractive because you're fat, doesn't make them a bad/judgmental person
