Late deadline for applicants to Cambridge aged 21+

Hi everyone,

It's a little known fact that the October 15 deadline isn't "final" for applicants to Cambridge aged 21 and over. Four colleges (Hughes Hall, Lucy Cavendish, St Edmund's and Wolfson) will accept mature and affiliated applications up until March 1 in the following subjects:

Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic; Asian and Middle Eastern Studies; Chemical Engineering; Classics; Computer Science; Economics; Education; Engineering; English; Geography; History; Human, Social and Political Sciences; Land Economy; Linguistics; Mathematics; Modern and Medieval Languages; Music; Natural Sciences; Psychological and Behavioural Sciences; Theology and Religious Studies.

So if you're finding it challenging to pull your application together this weekend, you'd ruled Oxbridge out on account of the early deadline, or you're only just starting to find your feet on your current course of study, you still have time to apply.

I have a thread on applying to Cambridge at 21+ on the Cambridge Forum (http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2878031) and am happy to answer any questions, in my capacity as an Admissions Tutor.
Anyone interested in applying to Oxbridge who has not already done so might want to take a look at Cambridge's 2015 Shadowing Scheme here: www.applytocambridge.com/shadowing. The 'mature' strand of the scheme takes place on 5-7 February 2015, and gives prospective applicants the chance to shadow current students, go along to lectures and supervisions and attend activities organized by the student societies. Food and accommodation is free, and travel reimbursed on a needs basis.
