I'm taking classical civilisation and we're currently learning about Cicero. We recently took a test which I got a really bad score on (and I mean REALLY bad) so I realised I need to start revising more, but I'm unsure how I revise for such a subject as the lecturers say writing things out doesn't work. Any ideas?

hi! i find it really hard to revise for classics as well, its a bit all over the place, but i found checking the syllabus helps to keep you focused. ive started using a timeline strategy so i make mind maps of bundles of years so i split Cicero into early life, early career, later career and lead up to his death. also making a timeline helps get the chronology of it down. best thing to do is read the set text as most of the info is there and questions in the exam are based on it. good luck!
