I understand the basics of VSEPR theory and how to draw the shapes - to a point.
But how do you know where the lone pair electrons go - for example in H2S the 2 lone pairs could surely go anywhere. Also, why is the bond angle 90 something when surely it should be 105 ish (in H2S). Finally, how do you know what the final shape is called!?

Any help is much appreciated.
