So my BTEC P1 is asking me to draw a table which contrasts and compares DNA and RNA,
their overall structure
Nucleotide structure

Purines present
Pyrimidines present
and sugar present

When is asks for overall structure do I draw the simple diagram of what it looks like, or do i go in super detail, because its asking for a digram and description. Theres many diagrams of DNA and RNA.

Then it asks for a nucleotide structure (labelled diagram).

Can you tell me what it exactly demands (what type of diagrams.), and for extra points what the diagrams and descriptions are.

The nucleotide will presumably be wanting the structures with phosphate groups, base sugar, and the nitrogen base groups. Things to point out being that the carbon sugars are different, and that different bases feature - which I guess answers all of the last four points (when stated what they are). Presumably the overall structure is commenting on the single/double strands, double helix formation, hair pin loops etc. and any other structural features you may have been told about.

If it wants a diagram and a description then give it a diagram and description. They're not expecting masterpieces of art, but you must be able to clearly convey the information. Any indication on the marks awarded for it should give you an idea on length/detail.

The information to answer this isn't hard to find on google, so go forth and learn.
