The Student Room Group

Need some advice

Here's some background info:
Im 18
Just finished college, now on a gap year.

So i just received a job offer from a tesco express (small store) and this is the offer:
1. An induction this saturday 1pm -> 10 pm (NO PAY)
2. Training next week friday and sunday (paid)
3. then the job :
Friday 6-11
Saturday 4-11
These are pretty bad times tbh and you would expect at least 1.5 x pay

ive been offered £6.30 an hour.

Is this a good offer or should i be disputing this, i thought tesco would offer me something good but.... any help appreciated. Thanks.

Minimum wage for 18 year olds is £5.13 just for comparison.
Take a look at this website and see whether you're being paid a decent amount:

I really don't see why you would have any expectation of 1.5x pay? Yes it's a decent offer, it's above minimum wage. "Disputing" it won't get you a higher rate ... that is the rate for the job. If you don't want it, don't take the job.
