Housemates and having showers...

I will be moving in with housemates soon for uni in a house where people will be aware of your every action and move :eek:

The thing is, I don't get washed daily. But usually every other day or so.

People usually find this disgusting don't they :confused:

Do you think my housemates will find out if I don't get washed everday? Will I have to change?

just do what you want but surely it's not that difficult to find time for a shower once a day? if you can't get up early enough you could shower every evening :s:

but i don't think anyone is gonna keep track of how many times you shower!

they'll probably know, some may care, others wont.

there was a few in my flat who didn' wash for days, some washed every day, no one cared.

i dont see how they would notice?

also, as long as you dont smell/noticeably are dirty they wont care.

we had a right dirty grease monkey living with us last year, but he only washed about once a week.

i also think its wrong to assume people are aware of your every action and move.
for example, i had latin at 9 am most mornings, so i was up and showered and dressed b4 everyone else got up, how would they know if i showered that morning or not?

i wouldnt worry, its your choice. i know i wont be taking any notice of what my flatmates do in the bathroom or how many times tey shower, its up to them. As long as they are happy with their personal hygiene and it isnt a problem for anyone else then theres no reason why it should be an issue :biggrin:

personally, i feel well dirty if i dont have at least one a day

often i will have at least 3. 1 when i wake up, 1 after some sort of sporting activity, and 1 before i go out.

One a day is fine, yeah, but you can't always work out before your morning shower, and I ALWAYS shower after working out, and I never leave the house before showering.

I'm sure your housemates have better things to do than count how many showers you're having.

Aslong as you're not REALLY unhygenic, no one will really notice or care.

i hate showering more than once a day. it really pisses me off.

but i HAVE to shower when i get up.

then if i go and play squash for say, an hour. squash is an intense game, you finish literally dripping. so that evidently requires a shower.

then say, if i went and had a nap, my bed was next to my radiator, so it would make me sweaty. i wouldnt want to go out to a club with my lovely GF being all smelly, would i?

id say 2 a day is normal, one when wake and one after hockey/squash/badminton/run etc.

Just wash everyday! Why go smelly? If you cant manage the fomer, shave at least... i'm assuming you're a fella.
You've got a point about everyone knowing what you do in the bathroom though... the walls can also be paper thin.. so watch out.

Some girls don't like washing their hair everyday because
a)if you have long thick hair it takes forever to dry
b)it makes it get greasier quicker because it gets used to being washed daily
if you want them to think you shower, just wear a shower cap if it's to do with your hair.

why? surely it depends on your day, for example. one day i may wake up, make food, go out for an hour or so, come back and play on a games console and watch dvds all day. what's the point of showering?

yes, i shower everyday because of the gym usually, but what's the point of showering when you're doing literally nothing?
