I couldn't imagine either working out or having sex and then not showering for a couple of days. For all those guys that do, i just have one word:

I dont shower every day!! I wash every day, but not shower..And only wash my hair about 2-3x a week, cos it takes ages to dry, and then I need to straighten it, and cba to do that every day.
edit:Obviously if you do any activities like squash you need to shower, and I do before going out in the evening too.

I certainly dont shower every day.
Think its kinda wierd that people do, heheh, and to a point I can see where the OCD thing is coming from, half of these posts are indicating a rather obsessive approach to showering.
Deary me, considering most of the worlds population simply dont have the ability to shower, I really dont know how it can be described as gross to shower less than once a day, thats just ridiculous.

Those people who are saying "You must have a shower daily!", are talking a load of rubbish. Every person is different - they have different lifestyles, and different bodies. Just because you have to have at least one shower per day, doesn't mean that everyone else has to do the same. Yet, if you're on the other end of the scale and get smelly really quickly then please, go and have a shower. Just find a balance which is reasonable for YOU.
To be perfectly honest, I would only get annoyed at somebody's showering habits if they were really smelly, or if they took an excessive number of showers.

lol, this thread is comedy, showering less than everyday is "foul" ? I'm personally not a dirty sweaty **** who rolls around in mud all day, so don't feel the need to shower every day.
Anyway, back to the OP, when I lived in halls, in my house of 10 people, only one person religiously showered everyday, nobody gives a **** how much you shower, unless they can smell you from their room.

I don't shower EVERY day. Sometimes I might and sometimes I wont. If I know I'm literally going to be in my room all day I wont bother to have a shower and I'll lounge around in scruffs.
Your housemates wont notice or mind how little you shower. The only time they might be bothered is when you start to really smell. One of my housemates never showered and he didn't smell too nice. Add his dirty, smelly room in to the equation and it was very nasty!

I wouldn't turn my nose up at someone who didn't shower every day. If it wasn't for every 3-4 days, though, I would get a bit worried.

why? surely it depends on your day, for example. one day i may wake up, make food, go out for an hour or so, come back and play on a games console and watch dvds all day. what's the point of showering?

I shower pretty much every day. If I haven't been out all day, I might skip it but generally speaking, I shower in the morning or before going to bed.
Actually this is a bit weird. When I'm at uni, I always shower in the morning. When I'm at home, I shower/have a bath in the evening..Guess at home it's just out of habit and not really caring about washing my hair in the morning to style it etc..

Bear, I tend to agree with you, infact, if somebody pays me a substantial sum of money, I'll go a whole YEAR without having a shower/bath. Thats a bet for ya.
