Okay so I've always wanted to do medicine, I took biology, chemistry, psychology and Russian at as level. But I've like just realised how hard it is to do medicine and kind of lost the motivation for it, and also I'm kinda scared of what it will be like, cos I don't think I'm very good with pressured situations, so any help on different careers I could go into??? Thankssss:*

If you are still keen on health professions, a more relaxed course you could take up is dentistry. Don't get me wrong, Dentistry is just as hard as medicine when it comes to anatomy and textbook work, but it's a lot more specialised and focused particularly on the head and neck. Because of this, it could be less challenging than medicine in practice, from a careers perspective. Also, you're self employed as a dentist, you choose your working days/hours. The pay a great, average salary higher than med grad salary.

Another career choice could be pharmacy. Although depending on where you take your degree, pharmacy can be a bit boring, as you kind of end up doing the same thing every day, and you may lose interest.

Other options could be nursing as a general nurse, or a dental nurse even.

Hope this helps.
