Erm I don't have much of a clue about wax but I do know it has a low melting point... maybe if you took a hot bath you might be able to wash it off?

The Fish accepts no responsibility for burns caused by running your bath too hot.

Scratch it off when it's dry?

glad some ppl are amused... its sooo painful, pulling it off slow or fast, i think the hot bath is probabky the way to go....
all because i was too embarrassed to go to a salon..

Yeah you gotta melt it, may take a couple of tries

If you can use the back of your hair dryer/straighteners to warm it then try that. Make sure they dont get too hot though

OP please post your next one not anon and you'll have everyone here repping you, you absolute legend

Hair dryer might work - put it on a low heat and see if that will soften it up a bit.
it's quite obviously a girl i'd say.

I hardly think straighteners/hairdryer is a particularly safe option. I use Veet microwave wax and if there are bits of wax left behind, they wash off fine using warm water. I'd advise against picking it etc, as that could easily rip your skin.

Stop being a wuss and rip it off. It's not that bad.

How would you know do you wax?
Or take a shower, the force of the water coming out might help remove the wax.

Get some olive oil, put it on a paper towel and wipe it over the wax - it really works, I do it if I'm waxing my legs and some of the wax doesn't come off...

It gets rid of the stickyness. Give it a go......

I've been reading up and apparently hot water doesnt work too well, in fact its more likely to stick you to the bath.

the lotion they give you to remove the excess wax. What do I really have to lose at this point? I rub some on and OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! The scream probably woke the kids and scared the dickens out of my friend. It's sooo painful, but I really didn't care by then. "IT'S WORKING!! IT'S WORKING!!" I get a hearty congratulation from my friend and she hangs up. I successfully remove the remainder of the wax and then notice to my grief and despair....THE HAIR IS STILL THERE.......ALL OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Heck, I'm numb by now. Nothing hurts. I could have amputated my own leg at this point.
Aaaargh I've done that lol. I poured boiling water into a bath (obv waited til it cooled a little) and sat in it, washed away all the wax, twas a little sore afterwards but atleast I never did it again lol.
Don't post anon, be proud of your waxing mistakes! xxx

Hot water will only make it more sticky!!!

That's why they heat the wax up first - the hotter the more sticky it is.!
