Hot water will only make it more sticky!!!

That's why they heat the wax up first - the hotter the more sticky it is.!


No, it'll make it more liquid. It gets stickier as it cools. Hence ripping off cold wax will hurt more as it's stuck harder to the skin. Washing it off with warm water has always worked for me.

Oh this thread is making me cringe with sympathy! Was it the first time you'd tried self-waxing your bikini line? Eesh. I hope it all works out okay in the end! I will be much more cautious now when I do my legs at Uni, as I am too far away from my precious salon...

That's cold wax strips rather than warm wax. And I somehow doubt the veracity of the sticking-to-the-bath thing.
