The Student Room Group

Being ignored ???

Alright there is this girl in my class whom I recently met and we got on well but when all the group work finished we were seperated so I didn't really get to speak to her since. When I went to the place where she works she asked me how I was then asked me about the upcoming test the response by me was me mumbling ( just said uum uum uum) then she kinda mocks me by miming me and giggled. When I was on the check-out she was just lookin at the mirrror and just ignored me. Then at college she did the same! first was walking through a packed out corridor and was forced to stop to let people through, she walks past sees me and just looks away and walks away. The next day she was sitting with her friends at another corridor and the place was empty ( I left lesson on my own early) as I walk past with a friend of mine her friends looks at me but she looks away (ignores me again).

Did I do something bad ? I never really spoke to her a lot and I feel kinda bad if I upsetted her.

Girls tend to do that sometimes, maybe shes playing hard to get!

maybe she wants u to say "hi" or something, to reassure her u like her.

either that or she is just plain up being a bitch and got put off by your mumbling when u last talked.

Reply 3

She wants you.

Why dont you say hello when you see her, break the ice!

She's doing that oh so annoying practice of playing hard to get, since I can't see anyone being reeeeeally offended by your mumbling... Do it back to her, don't go crawling after her! Be subtle though. Make *her* beg instead.

Hahaha, anyways just say hey, whats the worst that could happen? She's hardly gonna go get away from me freak

Honestly sounds like there's nothing there at all in terms of her playing hard to get or you saying something wrong. She's just an acquaintance, yes a quick hello or an acknowledgement of your presence in some way would be polite but some people are funny like that.

The wierd thing was that she even does it in class. I was told by the teacher to check on the textbook to find an answer. She sat by the shelf and initially when I was walking to her she was looking at me but when I got close she just looked at her work ( you could see it was on purpose)

Its obvious dude if your reading the signs right. Just talk to her if it looks like she's trying to ignore you, start a really trivial conversation about nothing... just talk to her lol

sometimes if i like someone i find it hard to talk to them, don't want to make it obvious i like them or something, i dunno!

Forget pedantry and get on with your life - Ginny Weasley only got Harry Potter after focusing on her school stuff and other prospects for a couple of years.

And don't forget - regardless of whether she develops into someone special or not, she's only one girl in 3 billion.

Some people do this alot, its like they want you to say hi first. What I would do is talk to her, but if she does it again, just ignore her again.

Chicks dig aggressiveness and confidence. Worst case scenario: she turns you down, and you're still single. Don't stand a whole lot to lose.
