applying for occupational therapy

Hi everyone!!!!
I was just wondering has anyone got on a OT course without the required grades of the uni?
I've heard you can get on to the uni course if you have a lot of work experience to demonstrate your commitment.
I'm worried I may not get BBB (which is required for my uni preference)but I am planning a gap year to get a lot of work experience.

Would Universities immediately rule me out as a student if I don't quite have the grades but do have a years worth of necessary admirable work experience?

If you have BBC, then maybe your experience will swing things in your favour if you can talk about how much you've learned at interview. I wouldn't pin your hopes on getting in if you've slipped more than one grade though. All healthcare degrees are very competitive and there will be an applicant with as much experience as you who meets or even exceeds the grade requirement.
