choices for uni

today i went to Canterbury open day and they said about our choices order is that our order on ucas

When you send off your application you recieve offers.

If you then want to accept any of those (likely conditional) offers, you have to put them into a priority list.

1.) your favourite choice.
2.)insurance - if you miss out on your first choice for some reason, they're next.

The rest follow. Only 1 and 2 usually have any significance with regards to accommodation priority and etc.

So when you are just applying, they go into a set order and then after you have offers, this is when you put one as a firm and so on?

Yes. They put them in a random order. There is no way to put them in the list by favourites until you make your choices.
