What I Wanted To Kno Is How Much Physics Is There In Optometry?does It Vary On Different Courses I Heard Bradford Has The Least Physics Involved?

Thanks For Your Help

hi, I'm sorry, but some bad news, the physics and maths are pretty high level at all uni's. The Optics involved in the degree is at least higher A level plus extras in the first year and specializing certain areas. You also need good maths skills. Have you looked at what the unis ask for entry? they will mostly want ABB at least... and then only a few get in.

maybe you can cope, depends how hard you worked for those GCSE/As results... problem is - will you get in with those A levels, chance is very slim.

maybe its best if you phone the department at the Uni you wish to apply for, and ask for a copy of the syllabus or of past exam papers and see what the standard is...

You will find it hard as all the courses have a great deal of maths and physics in them. Even my course, orthoptics, you have to know a great deal of maths and physics, which is something people don't realise coming into the course. A lot of people think, biology is the main one you need, when looking at eyes. But its more the physics as you need to know light inside out, back to front, and standing on your head.

hi, except for all the biology and refraction practicals, you ALSO have a lot of physics (optics) courses and also Maths courses in your first year... this builds on A level maths, and you need to pass these to go to your 2nd year..

if you worked hard for that "i Have Only Done G.c.s.e Maths At Grade C, And A/s Level Physics At Grade E" as you said, I am afraid you will not make the first year. Unless you know you can do better. You first have to be selected for the course though...............mmm Competition very stiff..
