Best Mini-Fridge for Uni???

I've been told that I'm allowed a mini-fridge in my room, up to 50 litres I think, and have approx. £50-80 to spend. Does anybody know which fridge would be the largest and the best for my money? It needs to be quite portable, because I will probably need to bring it home at the end of each term due to college rules. I also don't want a novelty fridge or one specifically designed to hold beer - if I can store 8 pints of milk, a couple of bottles of fruit juice and maybe some salad, eggs and cheese, it'll do me.

Thank you in advance..

Unlucky. If you want one to store food in, it'll cost you more than a £100 Husky "beer fridge" I'm afraid.

Well, I could store just milk and juice in a 'beer fridge', couldn't I? Would they fit?

Apparently they'll price match that to £55 as somerfield are doing it for that, or summet.

But it's not suitable for food (that includes milk).

how come, are they not cold enough?

I think they turn on and off or summet.

Aren't reliable enough to keep food cold 100% of the time.

I can't tell from the description/spec. You'd have to ask in store.

I think its more to do with that.
They have to be able to maintain a temperature below something like 4-6C to be food safe.

Oh, that's poo. I really wanted to be able to have milk and juice in my room, so that if I fancied a cup of tea in the night I wouldn't have to go traipsing down a corridor to the kitchen, and so I could get some weetabix quickly in the morning. Guess it's out of the question, then, unless somebody knows of a reasonably portable, reasonably cheap mini-fridge...

I think I've found something... In Argos, they 've got some that are table top fridges (and freezers), 'ideal for smaller kitchens', rather than just drink coolers. In the pictures, they've got food in and so on, and are £70-100 depending on the size. I might get one.

£95. 45 litres. 50 x 50 x 50cm.

Good for you?

Watch it doesn't blow the electricals to your room (if you are in halls of residence). We have an electricity restriction of 10amps, which is not a lot, and some people had trouble last year when they had fridges.

bought a 45litres one, with ice tray, from Currys for £99. It's nice.
