Hi,

My geography teacher is one of the top markers for edexcel geography and he's always saying some points. A big one is something that was a thing my gcse English teacher was always saying give a point explain it give an example then move on. Going on and on about the same point won't get you any more marks and it just wastes time. One thing I would suggest is learning your case studies really well. Making flashcards of key points for your case studies or mind maps should help. Even if you forget the point or the explanation you can use your case study to work backwards. Also one thing that helps a lot when going for the top grades is planning before writing the answer especially the 10 and 15 mark answers.
