50 gifts for 50th birthday?

For my dad's 50th birthday which is coming up this year me and my mum have bought him this personalised rugby book and I got him some 50th birthday mints, socks and a blow up Zimmer frame as well.


For my mums 50th birthday next year I was thinking of getting her a pandora bracelet but they don't have 50 charms plus she doesn't really wear jewellery that often.


My new idea is that I could get her 50 small things like a teddy bear, earrings, shower gel, a plant, flowers, a little ornament, chocolates, pjs, a photo album/scrapbook, etc. and wrap them all up and put them out for her to unwrap shaped like a 50. I could include things like a face mask, moisturiser, eye cream, foot cream, hand cream, nail varnish and give her a little home spa day if she wants one.


What do you think? Would this be nice? Or would a main present be better? I don't know... I'll be making a cake too and I think it would seem more special that I have gone out and chose 50 separate things.
