Yes you are a bit overweight, but if you don't look fat then it isn't a major problem. As long as you eat healthily and you feel ok about yourself then don't let it get you down.

If it really is getting you down, you can go get help from someone, some kind of advosor, but to be honest you're really not that bad and this probably isn't necessary.

If it's about image, wear clothes that look nice on you, try to cut down on eating, and what you do eat should be healthy, and try and be proud of yourself and make the best of your figure.

Good luck with what you decide to do

God knows, could be lots of different things, you've just gotta stick at it. Thought about joining a gym? It'll be a lot easier to lose weight if you do.

Don't do fad diets. Eat little and often, and no less than 1200 kcal a day. Eat five portions of fruit/veg, and drink water.
Exercise 3 - 4 hours a week.
If you're healthy, your weight is regardless. Your health comes first.

Do you have a lot of muscle?
drink water
and wee a lot
*shudders* What on earth is that meant to imply? Pff.

Erm, exercise or be happy!?

I'm 5foot 10-11 and 12.5 stone and not fat at all. All about exercise my friend.
put a bergen on your back, fill it with water, spair warm/dry clothing and maybe some food, then tab out into the country somewhere and just do some running, if the bergn is too much take it off, the running will improve cv, and the tabbing will improve stamina, why not post your achievements so we can help track it and therefore your more likely to stick to your program, works in the army, if you know your platoon is gonna hear your results, you work harder, anyway good luck, time for some breakfast:biggrin:

Nope, that was my fault. I wrote "irregardless" by accident, and then changed it to regardless. That was what Fleece was *shudders*-ring about. x

At that height and that weight, you could definitely stand to lose quite a few pounds.

As long as they're healthy, happy with themselves, and not starving themselves/overeating, why should they? x

Does not sound like she's happy with herself to me. Does it to you?

Plus what I said isn't wrong. At that weight, she definitely could stand to lose a few pounds.

Hi, how old are you?

By the sounds of it you have started on the right note, you are watching what you eat - the only thing I would have to say about that is do not go to extremes as once you do start losing weight on an extreme diet you will only put it back on as soon as you come off that diet - eat sensibly and do gentle exercise. Have you thought about joining a gym? It all depends how old you are.

Above, all be patient - losing weight does not happen overnight; it is a gradual process and will benefit you in the long run when it is done correctly.

Martin.

even using the tape measure method you should get a far more accurate picture of your 'fatness' or not fatness than simply weight and height. You can see that if your measurements are slim even if you add 5/10 pounds your total body fat doesn't increase that much.

I'm the same height as you, and weigh a few pounds less but my body fat is in the ideal category. So therefore, I'm not a matchstick but I'm fit and in the right range for keeping me healthy.
