I'm not the op, but I'm 17, started Nov 05, smoke about 15/20 a day.

Probably death if you continue to ask internet people for a diagnosis.

OMG, you're very very very unllikely to get cancer from that! chill, chill.... yes, it is really really bad for you, but coughing in the morning, having a sore throat is pretty usual for most smokers who smoke as many as you, and while their lungs are prob ****ed, this does not necessarily mean they have cancer.

However, if you're coughing up blood get down the Dr's ASAP!!! Oh, and nicorette gum is good, if you're trying to cut down/give up*. And before I get totally flamed, I'm just trying to calm this person down they're obv worried and comments like 'smoking is dumb' coming from someone whose never tried either smoking or giving up are totally pointless.

*tried and tested by moi!

No one seems to have been a huge amount of help here except Mylla, so here are all the symptoms you would have to look out for if you suspected lung cancer.

shortness of breath
coughing up blood
chronic cough or change in regular coughing pattern
wheezing
chest pain or pain in the abdomen
weight loss
fatigue and loss of appetite
hoarse voice
clubbing of the fingernails
difficulty swallowing

Hope you're perfectly healthy  If you smoke though, might want to stop while you still can...x

I'm guessing some kind of pain or feeling of constriction if you try and breath in deeply? Go to the doctor!
