one of my legendery flat mates made my internet work!!!
i have one question actually... oh no. i have two.
firstly... on my timetable alot of my modules have multiple lectures. do i go to all of them or one lecture from each module a week. this confuses me...
also: what is APPR??? they just go writing down any old short hand thing and didn't tell me what it is. silly people.
how much fun is this place!!! seriously!!! having the best time ever. in the world.
by any chance are you THE ents staff member that i keep seeing all over the place with the blonde hair?
Nope, that's not me, I'm another one. I kind of was at the Union last night, but only because we didn't finish tidying up following the sports fayre until 6 (had to move all the chairs from the marquee to the joint for comedy), and by time we'd sat and had a drink, we didn't leave until about 6:45ish. I couldn't work Comedy due to some 11hr work rule thing, am working Reload tonoght tho.
As for the lecture thing, yes you go to both (in second year you just have double lecture slots instead).
APPR: Dunno what it stands for, they introduced it in my third year, so we never had to do any of it. It's something to do with career and skill development I think.
You will find out what APPR is when you go to your first tutorial.
I am not looking forward to 2 hour lectures and 3 hour practicals! ;yikes;
Got my timetable today, 20 hours in Semester 1 (), 8 hours in Semester 2 ()
I also 'cast my votes' for the geography fieldtrips, I really REALLY hope I get to go to NZ, they do stuff I am interested in (volcanoes, geohazards and glaciers), and it's one of the cheapest ways I am going to ever have of getting to NZ. Have to wait a month before I find out where I am going though

The 2 hour lectures aren't as bad as they initially sound, depending on the lecturer, you'll either have a break part way through, or finish early. Sem 1 for P geographers in secind year is a b*****d tho (is Polar Environments still a sem 1 option, or has it moved back to sem 2?).
We found out about 2nd yr field trips before the summer holiday, but that was due to us being the first lot to go over there (NZ), and they had to book flights early to get 'em cheaper, something like that.
