Yeah know what you mean - we went to Cheapskates on the first Monday and the vodka was rough. It's def better at Vodka Island...which is a good thing, seeing as normally they charge about £6 for a double vodka+mixer.

Thank God for student nights...

Lol tell me about it! Ministry of Sound used to do 2 for 1 on these Vodka Kick thingies at Milkshake (the student night) but I think they've cut that promotion.

Finally I solved it after seeking help from the Strand Poly!:p:

https://auth.athensams.net/?ath_dspid=WESTLAW&ath_returl=%22http://athens.westlaw.com/signon/default.wl?RS=WLW2.87%26VR=2.0%26cbhf=ukhdft%22

you won't need a client ID if you go through here! You will only need your ATHENS password from LSE4U.

You were in the study area, so I thought I'd rather not disturb you. Plus, I finished off reading Harts extract.

Did you attend the event for the debate society today?

lol. Well congrats on the Hart's extract! I still haven't touch it at all! Crap! Well the debate thing was really exciting. All the debaters were so professional...though I don't like a guy from the opposition as he speaks too fast! Can't grasp what he was saying! Maybe i will give it a try on this thursday... but I don't think I will go for the President's Club as I realy had a lot of catching up to do this weekend. I really need to do some serious revision, feel like I'm lagging so much behind others! But contract law today was really interesting...I'm lovin' it!

I agree. Contract law seems to be the most interesting, after criminal law. By the way Henry, what was your judgment in the example case given by the Professor about the old lady, which turns out to be the mother?

PS. I also feel like I'm lagging behind, but not from other people in general, because most of the people on the course seem completely out of place lol. This Fri, Sat and Sunday is going to be the 'Long Revision Weekend' lol.

Also, I'm not really liking my group,:frown: most are really quite, and odd lol.

May Darwin bless those who created Wikipedia  .

As I always say, 'whenever in doubt, Wikipedia it' lol.

By the way, I've checked both Lexis and WestLaw for a particular case, and I've failed to find it.

Where else can I search for it?

Would the LSE library possess the case, perhaps in a casebook or a journal?

I guess its worth checking out either way.

Good night everyone.

Try www.bailii.org - it's just another case search database but I found it way easier to use than most others.

Thanks a lot. Not only is the site much more easier to use, but I found the case I was looking for.

I'd rep you, but I apparently have to 'spread' some more reputation around before I can give some to you.

Cheers.

I am going to slap that Introduction to The Legal System lecturer before I leave LSE, and that's a promise. If I fail, the you all have privity of contract, and you may sue me for breach.

The man is so sad. He uses words which I hardly understand, and extends what could be conveyed in a single long sentence, to an entire essay.
