Me too!

I've read Ashworth's book, and found it very stimulating and interesting. You ought to check it out, if you haven't already.

I don't have too many things coming up so I'm going to get my own copy and start reading:biggrin:

Wow the film today was really interesting! Anyone else feeling the same?

what was it all about??
Well a kid was accused of killing his own father and the film focus on the jurors arguing about the innocence of the boy. Pretty interesting characters in there and I really enjoyed the arguments. It's a thriller. Where are you anyway?

12 angry men is excellent, but I think the main point is about racial inequality Henry... ?

With all those books we have to read for the law course, the last thing I need is another book. Although it is true that the book is far better.

Well if you've read it already anyway... :p:
Indeed i thought the film was really great, bringing up quite a few important topics. I dont however think the main focus of the film was on racial prejudice. Its more on the importance of a jury, its position and whether true justice can be achieved. In fact, i think it questions whether there really is justice! If you think about it, the jury (despite what it showed in the film about fonda going to the scene of the crime) do not know anything oher than what is presented before them, and if you dont have a fonda character to speak out the other side of the argument and develop the alleged facts, then true justice cannot be reached, right? On the other side of the coin however you could have everyone hypothesizing like when they were saying 'what if the woman wore glasses and therefore didnt see clearly it was the son, then consequently it was not the son who murdered the dad', then true justice is based on hypotheticals, not true hardcore facts. Am i making any sense here? maybe its too late.. Well anyhow, i sure enjoyed the film!!

Couldnt help always noticing how jane fonda looks like the spitting image of her dad all the time!!!

ooh btw, a great book and film (book is incredible, an amazing read!) is primal fear by william diehl. that can effectively make or break you into a lawyer..!

Will anyone be attending tomorrow's lecture?

Although I don't like to miss any lecture, or class, the prospect of waking up at 7 o'clock in the morning, for a half an hour lecture, is not attractive.
yeah i know how you feel.. im in a dilemma myself but i have a personal tutor meeting at 10 so im probably going to go to the lecture. i mean i might as well!

I have no idea.

But I agree with your comment about Dr Roxan. He reminds me of the professor from Back To The Future lol.
