Do you hate Americans?

Padfoot, for some reasons, you seem to think that you need to know everyone of 'something' in order to say you dislike/hate something, but it just isn't the case.

Is this a question, or your opinion? Since the elected government of the US is to blame for these atrocities, the americans who do not support them ought to actively speak out against them.

For starters.. Its ALWAYS a pleasure reaing Padfoot's posts on this thread.. Its nice seeing a fellow american stand up for us in such a hateful thread. Secondly.. its nice seeing Vienna stick up for us as well.. in her own way.

EVERY american is NOT to blame for what happened at that prison, are children to blame? Are, BABIES to blame? I was merely pointing out that when people say ' i hate americans' noone was really thinking i hate everyone of the americans, which you keep pointing out.

I've alwasy wondered, just mildly curious, whether Vienna sticks up for americans because she likes us or because the majority of accusations thrown at us are BS or both.

When you say Americans, it is generally refering to all americans. If you hate certain americans tell us who and why, but don't just say you hate us. It's mildly offensive.

Ok, lets say it this way, if you read 5 books, and you don't like them, and you say you hate reading. Is this wrong to say you hate reading because you haven't read all the books in the world? Sorry if this is a bad example, but i am trying to put across a point that is hard to explain.

if someone said the French were all unhygenic socialists, I would stick up for them.
if someone said the English were all ugly imperialists, I would stick up for us
if someone says all americans are cruel, savage racists, I stick up for them.
if someone says the Europeans havent acheived anything, I stick up for us.
