direction to interpret? Watch

this might seem like a simple question to answer, but, does anyone have any advice for interpreting direction fields? The book i have (Boyce & DiPrima) asks me in a series of questions, to interpret the behaviour of the function (solution) for large t.

Sometimes this is relatively easy, but a lot of the time there are merging lines which go off in different directions, and i just can`t sem to interpret what the solution curves might look like!

this one is relatively easy, but i only guessed the form because 1) the diff eqn has an exponential in it, and 2) i gave it an initial condition which worked!

OR - are my Maple direction fields just rubbish?
