I would just keep pestering them. There is no harm in just asking. I mean you've been waiting quite a while.

Hey Guiscard! Hows Ithaca? One of my close friends id out there (Cornell) doing a post-doc - hoping to get out to see her if I can a) raise the funds and b) justify spending them!!!

The GSO are shockingly bad though! They lost all 3 soft bound copies of my thesis when I resubmitted. Piss-up and brewery are two words that spring to mind!!

Travel to Ithaca is a hassle since the only airline that services Ithaca is U.S. airways and they are atrocious.

Not sure this will help anyone, but if you email the colleges that you chose, and give them your email address, most will let you know if you didn't get a place. Plus, if you do get in, you'll know alot faster and you can accept right away (especially helpful if you're from overseas). As a side note, a few of the colleges guarantee accomadation for all three years of DPhil study (Jesus is one). I just hope I chose the right one...having only a little prospectus doesn't always give you all the real info... :smile:
