Theatre Studies?? Watch

Hi everyone, newbie here

So I'm currently in the process of picking A-Levels, hence checked the 'Choosing your A-Levels' thread, only to find there was minimal mention of Theatre Studies A-Level.

Theatre Studies is the subject I've always been set on doing. I knew it is one that is subject of debate within universities so I did some research; the conclusion I've come to (having consulted the supposed 'black-lists' that are available, among other sources) is that everyone seems to have a different opinion. This has got me worried.

I would take it alongside English Literature, History, and a modern language of some sort (either French or German, probably French) for AS, all of which are deemed 'facilitating subjects'. The degree I want to study is English Literature, hopefully at a Russell Group university - which I understand to be a very competitive course.

What are your opinions? I believe I'm prepared for extra work outside of school etc: ironically it is actually the physical acting part I'd worry most about. Is there anyone who takes it on here??

Thank you for your help
