Some answers I got:

Ion mass = 2.18x10 ^-25
Initial acc = 1.27x10^-5
Satellite velocity =0.061
Star mass = 1.97x10^30
Time was something in millisecond
Pressure = 1.5x10^7

Agree with that time was 2.1x10-3 i think
Judging by people's answers, other than the very first part, I'm feeling quite good about it now.

Any idea why they've stopped putting the 'Total Marks' at the end of each question this year?

Only mark I'm certain I've lost is the amplitude and acceleration of the SHM metal, I didn't see the velocity was in 0.1ms^-1. Should only lose one due to ecf.

Ask me if you want to know what I put for specific questions. Definitely lost like 10 somehow throughout the paper though.

i underestimated that question too tbh :frown: i hope i get a medium B so i can smash g485 i know this mark scheme will be full of bs

Because it was the pressure for the whole system,

Swear it was pressure for tank only?? If not f*** I was going to do that then thought it was tank only

first graph: negative constant gradient through origin
second: still sinusoidal but decrease in amplitude and slight increase in time period (not sure if this second point is necessary)
third: basic resonance graph, with peak at 8Hz

For the second the period is constant but the amplitude decreases over time

[QUOTE=DoctorDren;56877641]Doesn't volume after the added moles stay constant for the last question?

Volume does add up since the temperature was constant

yeah I think if we're all finding it that rubbish then they probably will be quite low this year

yeah shoul be about same
Thank the lord for ECF marks all I can say

For anyone who's watching who hasn't sat it, this is the question that stumped everyone

(Note: it's obviously satire)

Thats what i thought but we probably misread

If this is true then i misread

I think i lost about 15 marks but i think this was so much harder than last years so do you think grade boundaris will be low??

My view: I think Q1 will have put so many people off. Question 1 and 2 got me really worried, however from 3 onwards it went well.
Hopefully I got into the low 50s.
Was it just me or was that difficult??

rate of photons emitted is another factor that may have not been what it was.

same thing for this specific q/

won't the time period increase slightly?

Pressure is the same for just the tank and the whole system...

Are there ECF marks? For a three marker, if I made a calculator error for one of the M1's then would I lose 2 marks or 1?

for first question did anyone talk about gravitational field of the equipment? every mass has a field right?
Original post by alanconnel
oh yeah i think i got that but for a i put 9.81

It was on the moon, so a isnt 9.8 :erm:

To be honest I can't remember either. Anyone else?
