Imperial College London minimum age for medicine

I skipped a year in primary school, which was absolutely the best decision for me, but now I'm having problems with minimum age requirements for university.

I'll be applying next October to do medicine, and I want to apply to Imperial College London. However they have an age restriction of you have to be 18 by October 1st to comply with NHS patient contact regulations (even though there won't be any patient contact on the first day of term).

I'll be 18 on October 2nd. Do you think there's still a chance I won't have to take a gap year, or (despite it literally being a 4 hour difference between being born on October 1st and October 2nd) will they still force me to take a gap year?

Imperial is my first choice, so I'm really hoping I won't have to apply for deferred entry. If anybody has any experience with this, or thoughts, I'd really appreciate it!

TL;DR - I miss the age cut off for Imperial for medicine by one day. Do I still have to apply for deferred entry?
Would be very harsh if that was the case.

You're better off contacting the college directly than asking here, though.
