Some species of seaweed are submerged in water for most of the time. Explain how being underwater might affect the rate of photosynthesis. Provide at least 3 examples and their effects on the rate of photosynthesis. Thank you

In general, I think the rate of photosynthesis will be lower. Being submerged in water, less light will be received by the chlorophyll of the seaweed and with increasing water depth, the penetration of light will decrease further
