Are controversial opinions okay if kept to oneself and not shared with others? Watch

If someone believed something that is generally seen as wrong in society, as long as they did NOT act on it, and merely kept it to themselves, (so not sharing it on social media, or with anybody else), would it be "okay"?

Just curious, don't want to start an argument...

Well if you never share your opinions then you will never find like minded people, also it took people sharing controversial opinions to give us the civil rights movements when people have benefited from today.
