Girls snoring?

I'm a girl and at uni right now and I'm just worried about my sleeping habits. I'm told by mum that I tend to snore sometimes when sleeping, or just grind my teeth, but either way, it's quite embarassing. I'm pretty sure the nasal strips or medicines don't help much, as others have tried and failed, so does anyone have any suggestions? Or rather, is anyone actually really bothered about this?

I doubt people would have issue with it. If I had a girlfriend that snored, I'd probably find it quite endearing, as long as they didn't sound like the aforementioned foghorn.

I have a friend who snores really loudly.

We were on a train the other week and she snored so loudly the whole carriage heard her and I had to hit her to wake her up.

It doesn't bother her at all though!

I think it's very common.

It's not like you have any control over it what you are doing when you're asleep..so snore away I say! I occasionally drool a bit in my sleep...another not so pleasant thing, but there's nowt to be done so I don't worry about it. I tend not to fall asleep snuggled into someone's chest..cos eww for them!

I misread the thread title and thought it was 'girls snorting.'

Just be thankful you don't have a coke addiction too. I hear it makes you snore louder

Do you sleep on your back? If so, sleeping on your side may help.

I always sleep on my side; back is too uncomfortable.
