I am doing my second year in sixth form now and studying psychology, religious studies and photography. I want to become a children's nurse but I don't have a C grade in science GCSE. I have at least a C in everything else including English and maths in GCSE and I got BCC grades for A Levels. Would universities make exceptions for situations like this?

What do you mean by exceptions for situations like this?

What you would really need to do is contact the universities you wish to apply to and ask them, as they will be the only ones who will really know. Check their websites and if it is not made clear then send them an enquiry about it.
Honestly the only people who will be able to give you an accurate answer for this question is the university admissions.
