I've been doing a lot of martial arts during the past few years and recently I have started to take it seriously. I go to the GYM once every few days with my m8s and I've gained a relative amount of muscle and weight, will this affect my cardio/flexibility ect. I have a fairly healthy diet for a uni student then again everything in relative.

thanks.

Lift for strength, it improves general sports performance. Don't lift for size because you probably don't want to put on much mass.

Don't lift. If you're not naturally gifted with muscle then you shouldn't try to change that.

If you don't know you don't have one. Google strong lift 5x5 do it as written but don't aim to bulk much (gain muscle) as that will give you more weight to carry as you run around
