This is the question;

1 The functions f and g are defined by:-
f: x = 3x − 1 x is a member of real numbers
g: x = x^2+1 x is a member of real numbers
(i) Determine the values of x for which gf(x) = fg(x)
(ii) Find the range of g

For the first part im not sure what its asking, but i found that gf(x) and fg(X) are the same? so all values of x would work?

gf(x) = (3x - 1)2 + 1

fg(x) = 3( x2 + 1 ) - 1

ok, i see where i went wrong. After that it'll be a quadratic, and then the x values would be my answer?
